This is a very simple, yet powerful 3D modeling program. I've used this program for years and in fact my school has implemented Google Sketchup into the Lower School learning curriculum for Design and Technology. You can create anything from pens and pencils to skyscrapers and the USS Enterprise; all downloadable through Google's 3D Warehouse.

I love this program! I used it a lot as an Interior Designer with its just above moderate 3D features. I'm fed up with few others paid design software that have expired license and keep nagging to upgrade to latest version only after paid certain amount. This one from Google keep updated regularly and its totally free! Hope more a fantastic free 3D software like this in future.

This is a great program from the same folks who created Google Earth. The website has plenty of tutorials to walk you through the basics so that you can bet busy creating your own models in 3D.

For all the architects, this is for you. Did you ever want to build when you were a youngster? Looking to create your new home from the bottom up. You can set the measurements when you build it with the simple to use controls. It is a companion program to Google Earth, and free if you use the lite version. This afternoon I downloaded the White House from SketchUp to Earth. It is just that amazing! A warehouse exists for users allowing you to retrieve almost anything you want. Form your own user group and get ready for some fun!
