Best of breed
Rather large footprint and does take up system resources. However, the program is relatively easy to use, fairly quick, very stable and probably the best of all backup programs. Specific features are that you can backup the smallest individual parts, whole sections or the entire system. And when you have to perform a restore you do not need the Genie software installed on your pc because all the backup files can be done in self executables.

One of the best of the top-rated backup apps
I have been using Genie for about a year with no problems. The coders have done an excellent job and rarely have to fix bugs. I don't know what another evaluator is talking about who has problems with Genie not recognizing new subfolders or files in a directory. I am using version 5.0 and it detects the new data with no problem. I also use BackupMyPC and NovaBackup, also excellent apps. Genie is a bit less expensive for those on a tight budget.

Does not backup new created directories
The tool looks nice but the expected main functionality of a backup tool works incorrect. Defined backup jobs only works well for static data. If you add new subdirectories, they are not picked up automatically. This is a deal breaker if the data you are backing up is dynamic and changes frequently. The short answer of the support is: works as designed!

Great !
I've been using Genie Backup Manager for a couple of years now and it has saved my butt several times. It is by far the best backup tool I have ever used.
