I was not impressed with the Bysianian filter...the software never really blocked much using that - even after scanning all my users sent email for "ham" and downloading "spam" lists online. And...this is the one feature that you don't get if you use this product in freeware mode ! In order to make it truly work, I set it up to "blacklist" all domains except for those specificially whitelisted. The software auto whitelists all sent email addresses and provides the capability to scan all users outboxes when it's set up - so your whitelist is well established from day one. Next, I set up GFIMailEssentials to place all suspected spam in a spam folder in each users mailbox. I instructed the users to send an email to anyone who ends up in the spam folder in order to autowhitlist them. After 90 days, it's working extremely well.
