Having to register is mildly annoying but not difficult. After registering, when running Fresh Diagnose, i got lots of error messages and messages that the software was unable to do this or that. When it worked the interface was OK. I have tried and prefer several other similar freebies... and most of those do not use an install program. This review is for Fresh Diagnose under Win XP Pro SP3.

First thing, registration is easy AND does work! The only thing is that Fresh Devices don't just send you the registration details for Fresh Diagnose, they also they send you registration details for their other three applications. If you read the email they send you, you will see that the first registration details are for 'Fresh Download' and that you have to scroll down the page a bit to see the Registration details for 'Fresh Diagnose'. The application works well and considering that it's FREE, I think it is excellent.

While I used this for some time, I moved on. However, I still recommend this to others and it's a great info tool but I don't feel it's as thorough or true as I would like it to be. Other than that, it's a very nice software. I think many will still like FD though, depends on what your needs are. It still gives a lot of info about your pc for most users and should be more than satisfactory. Never had running issues with it, always solid too.

Technically, it is freeware, because it doesn't have to be paid for. However, the software does require free registration. My registration did not work for some reason. I entered my e-mail and received a registration number, but when I tried to register the software by entering my name and registration number, the text fields simply cleared out and nothing happens. I couldn't get it to register and the features are unavailable, until free registration is complete -- registration that does not work.

Even the latest version (7.62) is out dated. I ran a few of the benchmarks and it doesn't even list GeForce 7900.

Everything is just great until one tries to run the diagnostics. "For registered users only." Now the registration thing is a minor issue, but if you choose not to register, obviously some of the options are not operable. Guess like one other reviewer mentioned, you could use a throw-away email in the registration. Seems to me this meets the definition of crippleware since it requires additional effort to get full use.

Works well but the registration thing bugs me. I dont get this company. Best thing to do is use a disposable email address so they dont spam you! I know you can opt out of the emails but then they still have your email...

Have been a long time user of Fresh Devices quality software and this is no exception. Everything you need to know about your system is here, benchmarking included. Very nice interface. Help file included. They need your e-mail address purely for registration purposes. No need to get paranoid about this, they will inform you of any software updates which are very frequent. I highly recommend all the other freeware programs from Fresh Devices.

Does what it says on the box!! Need email for free reg key to do benchmarks, but the info about your system is extensive. File is saved as an html type (can even customize the color format for each run) to view in your browser. If you want to know everything about your system from hardware to software and in between you can't go wrong here! It'll tell you everything except what time to make the coffee!!! A must have! I couldn't get along without it! Try there other apps on HmPg too. Pretty neat stuff!!! FreshUI from them is a nice addition to your arsenal as well. I'm not affiliated with 'em, just like their apps. One of the best freebe's I've found hands down for the job it does! My budget is tighter than your backside at tax time, but after using this app for over 2 yrs I think I'd pay for it if I had too! (Hope not though!) Thanks FreshDevices for some outstanding tools!

I think this program is big brother of Belarc Adviser but if Belarc is adviser then this is a doctor who tests your system, & gives you complete report about each & every thing.
