Very solid RSS reader
After endless searching, I have found the one. Feedreader is technically solid, fast, and elegant, powered by Firebird SQL. Updating is rapid, and tailored for minimum bandwidth use. The program runs fine in Windows Vista. It supports RSS/Atom/RDF/OPML. It's easy to add feeds. They can be arranged in folders, allowing the user to create categories (folders) like "computer security" integrating stories based on feeds, tags, keywords, or other options. A number of viewing options are available, although the default is excellent. Full documentation resides at feedreader.com. Changing the reading font is not easy. For the folder and navigation panes, you can hand-edit the INI file. See the FAQ list for details. For the reading pane, you can change the default font in IE. To disable Javascript and ActiveX, edit the INI. It cannot easily run as a portable app, though documentation outlines the steps necessary. The database can be changed to MySQL. Great program.
