Pleasantly surprised with this little utility. As a standalone product Emsa DiskCheck proved up to the task and completes a check of the hard-disk in remarkably faster time than the standard MS option. On my PC if I use MS to check the disk for errors it takes around 1 hour 40 minutes. Emsa DiskCheck completes the same task in 35-40 minutes tops. There is only one negative comment I would make. The progress meter in Emsa DiskCheck shows 100 per cent complete when the task is only about 5 per cent complete! (No big deal!) Other than this really minor glitch I would recommend this product if you want to complete a rapid check of the hard disk for errors or gain a second opinion.

It is very easy to use and has simple but functional interface. I would be completely satisfied but one "feature" makes this soft useless. Once this software encounters one unreadable file it locks on it and tries to read it again and again and it take ages to get past it. Pity...
