I used this tool to make a demo to give to investors. It can output to file formats that my Linux media workstation and import. It does a much better job of capturing desktop video than any Linux tool. I have not tried any other Windows tools, because Easy Video Capture did all I need at a good price. I particularly like the ability to capture either a window or a rectangular area of the screen. Plus, they take PayPal!
