Finally one that works
Did some testing as others have failed miserably. This one seems to deliver, not just in the downloading area but speed as well. I downloaded from all my usual spots, including Snapfiles and it downloaded files without a hitch. It gave me the option to use it or Firefox downloader, same with IE, so that's nice. If it can't download a file for whatever reason, at least you have this option. Also, the resume and pause seems to work great too. It opens with every download that i've tried which is a plus. While I do have DSL and this can hinder smaller file download speeds, once again, I have the option plus I don't have to worry about broken downloads, can resume or pick up where I left off. Others didn't seem to work as solid as this one. Had no problem browsing around while downloading, all pages load fine. I think it's a keeper.

Integrates well with Firefox
No configuration needed. After install the Firefox plugin, restart the browser, and DE starts to work. One of the drawbacks is the inability to review/manage your past download history through Firefox.

Didn't do it for me
It was all going so well .. .."download express" was downloading files fine ..Then I tried to go onto the internet with both Internet Explorer and Firefox...neither browser would work at the same time as "download Express...so this is not a programme for me..although it looks great on paper!!

Works brilliantly
This works far better than DAP, which I paid for. I am using FireFox, and have had no problems. I paid for DAP due to the resume capabilities, and supposed accelerated download speed. I have used DownThemAll, FastGot and others. This, in my opinion is far superior to all of the download managers I have tried. Besides all of that, the price is right. To the knockers of it, I suggest you read the huge amount of help information for it. Thank you for the great software program.

One of the best
I use Download Express with IE, Firefox, Mozilla and Opera with no problems. I read a comment the it won't work with Firefox. Try it, you will like it.

Slows down my web surfing process
This program works as it says it does on my Firefox browser, but it also makes anything else I do virtually impossible. ANY download that I make, regardless of its size, causes me to be unable to view web pages as I am downloading. Whats the point of using all the possible download channels if it uses up your capability to surf? I prefer the old way better, letting Firfox download while I surf. Im in no particular hurry most of the time and prefer not to have something slow me down.

Even better than before
I have used this download manager for several years now, and it just keeps getting better. It now works with the Firefox browser, via a plugin. This product just works, period. You can't go wrong.

It does make my download go faster
I have used Download Express two years now, and I have only good things to say about the program. The program is installed inside your browser, and appears when ever you download something. The speed is fast and especially when you share download with other people. It has got continue download function which allows you to download later if you need your Internet connection to something else. Remember to use TAB if you dont want the program to run when you open a link. Top dollar l>< *>

Does not seems to make any improvement to my download speed. Furthermore, it hangs the IE during connection frequently.

A nice program
The download speed is good, but I don't care much about that. What I really appreciate is the ability to resume download in case you lose connection, the disconnect modem after finish download and shutdown computer after finish. Hey, how many times you have to go somewhere and download is still going. And if is late and you want sleep? Set it up to disconnect and/or shutdown after finish the tasks, great program

Extremely useful
Extremely useful, small but powerfull download manager that I have ever seen. Interface is not very complicated so everyone can use this program without having difficulty. It also has anti-virus integration; after download your files will be scaned for virues automatically. I strongly recommend you to use it.

Can be used
Can like this program for its simple interface, downloading option i.e where to save and speed of downloading. So I recommend anyone to use this one for downloading files from websites. However when it comes to downloading files from email like yahoo, Hotmail etc it does not decodes/saves the file types correctly. So have to use regular windows save option by using SHIFT key while clicking on download links from emails. If the developer rectifies this bug then it can be a excellent download manager.

Very good and clean download manager.
Things I liked: 1- Clean interface 2- Similar menu structure as IE download, Especially when asking where to save the files ;) 3- Speed and stability is exactly like all download managers/splitters. 4- This is the free for personal use version, Price is excellent. There is no spyware at this time with ver. SP1 Things I didn't like: -1- Proxy settings have been flaky at times, however I haven't ruled out my proxy server as being all to stable either. Overall as a tech-head I have been recommending this to all my friends.. 2 who purchased a DL manager, have switched to this one.... That surprised me.

Easy downloading
Download Express is by far the best downloader I've used. You can stop and start a download at any time, and you can get real big files a little at a time, today or three weeks from now. It keeps a list of where it downloaded that file from, also keeps your file that you did not finish getting in a list that you just click on and it starts downloading from where you left off. A must get.

When small and simple mean "good"
A small utility that is almost invisible but always there to insure your downloads. I used other good download managers before, with a whole bunch of features, but in fact, for an everyday use, you just want to download for good the files you click on. And Download Express does it. The only missing feature is in fact an advanced one not given for free: the ability to reduce your download windows to system tray. But, god damn it, I can live without, otherwise I'll certainly simply buy this feature: this program just worths it!
