Not bad
While a very nice replacement for notepad, it seems to have enough to entice you but leaves out enough to not make this your default text editor. Skins are great, etc... but functionality is more useful. I really wish to see some things added and this would be a great all around text editor. It is sitting in a gray area and needs to break free. It has a lot of potential and hope to see it become better.

Fine for lovers of colorful screens
The most striking feature of DocPad is its range of different colored interfaces. Surprisingly though (unless I missed it) it is not possible to change the font used for the text, only its size. There are some extra features including a built-in calculator, but another feature lacking here is the ability to open different tabs and switch between them.

The best txt editor so far !!
Bold Words you may say, well I have a good reason for marking this application 5 out of 5 and NOT because its free, this is because of its features, in particular the Alphabetical sort feature & the ability to delete Duplicate "lines" and whats more important doing so with large txt files without locking up or crashing !! this application is the ONLY ONE !! so far that do these two things, many software programmers have tried and all ( so far ) have failed, not only does it have heaps other features to use, you also have the ability to completely modify the user interface Via the "system-G / Configuration Editor, you can even change the skins :-) well done people !! PS : have you got a large HOSTS file you want to edit ? well this txt editor is a MUST !!
