The interface is user friendly and the free version has many features to get you started. Very good documentation (User and Administrator). Very good Setup Wizard.

Incredible groupware soft

I use DesknowLite since 2005, and its incredible, and in the company that Im now we bought a license, and its great. Easy to config, in 5 minutes you have a really good groupware server running. At work we use a p4 with 1Gb of ram, and work really good, we use via intranet and internet, its to fast via both connections, (inter and intranet).

I've been testing multiple Free and Shareware Email Servers. This one is the best so far. I also run a WebServer all I did was pick another Port number. No problem. After weeks of failures finally got my Email Server working.

Best software ever seen

I have tried this software for 1 month and after I decided to buy it. Desknow it's Lite in the price (better, it's free) but it's huge in functionalities. Thanks to the configuration wizard it can be configured in a while and can be up and running in less than a min. Be carefull during the installation if the proposed ports are already used for other services (Ex. web server).

If your running a web sever then you will have some issues I found that people were having issues with it trying to log in or even get it on the screen what so ever. Its locked to port 443 so a SSL server will have issues. I didnt quite see where the config file was to mod the program. If you not running any other servers, and you can get this to connect from the internet then your doing fine. I how ever was unable to- and I do it for a living! Nice software, easy to use (kind of) well worth taking a look at

DeskNow is about the best E-mail server I have ever seen, and I'm not just talking about free ones. With hundreds of features like spam and virus filtering, calendars, cellphone and palmpilot access, and much more. A very easy setup and upgrade process too. Most of all, I like the GUI because it is very easy to navigate and just looks great. The support for DeskNow is without a doubt, the best I have ever seen. The support team will answer the questions of those who have not even purchased the software in their bulletin boards. I most definitely have to recommend this server to anyone that wants a free or commercial E-mail and collaboration server.
