I'm using this little wonderful software from much time. It is fast, simple, light, standalone and really powerful. Try it! You can put a shortcut of the program in the "SendTo" folder, so that you can right click a file and "Send" it "To" DPA-SHA..... really simple!

I had written a small hashing program for the command-line but wanted something a little more user-friendly. I started up DPASHA and picked out a file to hash. After I noticed it was taking significantly longer to hash the file than when I had used my program, I tried to close the program. No luck. In a couple seconds Windows popped up its 'Do you want to shut down this unresponsive program' prompt and I said "Yes". After a few minutes of my hard drive light still blinking and the program still not being closed I opened up the Task Manager and tried to manually kill the process. No effect! Irritated, I logged completely out of my user account and logged back in. It was STILL ON, squeezing every last bit of speed out of my hard drive!! Had to restart my computer to shut down this program (which took about five minutes with how busy the hard drive was). Deleted it as soon as I was done rebooting and now appreciate my little command-line tool a lot more.
