Nice idea but use caution
Once the program is exited anyone can easily delete your container. Restart the program and it informs you that your container doesn't exist and asks would you like to create a new one. Be sure to have backup of what you have inside the container.

Excellent program
This is obviously the best freeware! Is is very easy to use and any average users can understand. Importantly, "delete original decrypted file" is not possible until the right password is entered which is the case with PowerCrypt 4.4. Read my comment there. All file after can be transfered to your virtual drive.

Agree with the others
The program is simple and works very well. A nice way to hide passwords and other sensitive files.

Cryptainer le
A very good program of 128 bit encryption and it can also help you to keep you're files securly by making you're drive unaccessible to other users.

Shame about the size restriction
Excellent product , but the LE version has the restriction of 20mb per volume although any number of 20Mb volumes can be created. If you want a bigger size than this have a look at TrueCrypt (not yet on WebAttack) which is at least as good and has no restrictions.

Does exactly what it says on the tin!
Does the job it claims. It creates a secure container. The container is treated as a Drive in it's own right. But when closed and locked,it's basically a secure and locked file. I made one container on my HD,and also one on a Digi card containing files related to a project i'm working on. As is stated clearly, this free version is restricted to 20mb containers. That 20mb does fill up "surprisingly" quickly when you've something like Digi pics in there, which are quite big files. But you can create multiple containers,so there is a way around it. Password system works well, and as this is free there is nothing to complain about really. I often wonder how my HD optimizer handles the container though,as i guess it could be treated as an "Unmovable" item when you've unloaded the container and locked it. But now i'm getting picky. I highly recommend this program for quick and easy use for hiding files securely.
