Fast and reliable
After using WS_FTP for years, I was happy to find a replacement that followed the same simple steps for uploading to my web site. The plain interface makes little difference to me, as the ease of use is what really counts. I haven't had any problems with it. I'm very pleased to have found it.

The best free ftp program.
Of all the FTP Programs I have tried, and there have been many, this is the best.

Very reliable but
Really the best I have used so far but very ugly! Sorry to say that but it looks pretty bad but I use it only as it has no problems-I guess I can live with it's appearance..

Excellent
I am using Core FTP lite for more than 1 year. It is very user friendly, more reliable. I already introduces it to my friends. I am planning to buy full version this week.

Excellent replacement for ws_ftp
I used WS_FTP LE all through the 90s until it was no longer freeware. I downloaded Core FTP lite and have never looked back. It works wonderfully and never has the sorts of problems I used to have with files not getting downloaded here and there when trying to download large amounts of files (Core FTP uses a "queue" system that allows me to download hundreds of files without a problem.) Highly recommended.

Handy dandy ftp client!
I like that the scrolling session log is on top. The two-pane local/ftp site explorer window is straightforward. I'm not a big FTP commando and am usually annoyed with the presumptuous interfaces of many FTP clients. This one did the trick!

Better than smartftp
Really very neat program. 7 second delay to start it up for the lite - but very intuitive to use. SmartFTP will tend to timeout if hauling a large load. Core FTP Lite - has not timed out at all. Very nice queue appearance also. I just wish it had default sounds (you can select some)

Excellent ftp client
CoreFTP is a polished FTP client that, if it has any flaw at all, looks a little bit more institutional than more attractive products like SmartFTP. But, unlike SmartFTP, CoreFTP doesn't expire or pest users with registration reminders. It does, however, work beautifully. It has an extremely useful and sensible interface, and offers my favorite "surprise-and-delight" feature: it plays a sound whenever it succeeds or fails at doing something I've asked it to do -- a feature that FileZilla does not offer.
