I used to use the free TClockex program, but it is no longer being updated, so I needed a replacement. I just wanted something that would allow me to customize the clock, without bundling in a whole bunch of other functions. Clock Tray Skins fits the bill, so far. It looks good and plays nicely with a desktop enhancer program I'm using right now (ObjectDock). I think they should lower the price for the full version, but some people will find it worth the cost. Give it a try.

I have been using this program for a few days now and all is well. There are many skins to choose from and it integrates nicely with the task bar. I particularly like the option to make the skins transparent but keep the look of the numbers for the clock. All in all it was very easy to install and start using. I will be keeping this one.

Many of the best programs on Snapfiles are free but you will have to pay for this one when the trial period runs out. I did pay for the full version because it livens up the desktop considerably and is easier to read than the standard Windows clock. It also has a wider range of features and many different skins, so it can be themed to the desktop look. Recommended even though it is not freeware.

A friend of mine told me about this program and since I have been looking for a system clock that I can read, I decided to give it a try. I was not disappointed. It did everything he said it would, and then some. I frequently change my desktop theme and it is nice to have a clock in the system tray that matches any theme I choose. The text is large enough to read without my glasses and all the information I need is displayed all the time without having to hover the mouse pointer or click on anything. The time is synchronised with an atomic time server near me so I know the time is accurate. I used to keep a clock app pinned to my desktop but I no longer need to use it. This works way better. I would (and DO) recommend this program to anyone who has difficulty reading the standard Windows system clock.

I have been using ... After having read about Clock Tray Skins I downloaded it, installed it and now I am using it quite happily. Being an IT systems manager I have also tried it in Windows 95, 98, 2000 (my system has Windows XP SP2). Very nice the feature to adjust the time via Atomic Clock Servers. You can choose to show date, day-of-the-week, seconds, and the hour in 12 format (or not). Also it's skin collection has a lot of nice skins to choose from. So far I have found nothing bad about the product, having tried it in different Windows versions.
