Depending upon what you need a POP3 Checker to do. It met *my* main requirements of versatility and reliability for a variety of accounts: Hotmail, Yahoo, Gmail (SSL) and regular accounts are easily handled. The second requirement of versatility in timed intervals for different servers makes this a reliable workhorse to keep track of seldom-used accounts. I have had *some* difficulty with the 'bells and whistles" such as assigning individual sounds for mail notification; but the default sounds and pop-up notifications are servicable.
