So cool!
This is so easy to install and set up. It even works with my DV Camcorder where other programs will only work with my USB Webcam. You can use this privately for one on one calls or visit their chat rooms. Awesome program and this is NOT a PC Resource hog - far exceeds Yahoo and MSN regarding Webcam chatting. KUDOS to CQPhone!

Better than all the big name programs!
I have downloaded scores of Internet phone progs trying to find the best one. CQPhone is the easiest and the most friendly of them all. Everything is so simple and user friendly. they should pin a medal on the people who designed CQPhone. Bill 318-8903

The best free pc-to-pc softphone?
With the possible exception of the lack of support for USB sound devices, this has got to be the quickest and easiest setup I have ever come across for a softphone. The whole thing is intuitive and simple, voice quality is superb, video quality is more than good enough and the chat interface just works. I particularly like the idea of automatically assigning a phone number and allowing the choice of working just with that, or using a handle in the chat rooms. No dodgy signup procedure and a truly free product. What more can you ask for? Apparently some firewalls can cause problems but ZA suite took it all in its stride. I would be deleting Sk*pe off my PC if CQPhone supported my USB handset. I give this one 9.5 out of 10. If they support USB in the next version that will rise to 10 out of 10.

Simply superb !!!
I am a new user of CQPhone. I found voice quality to be very good while video is acceptable. At present, most users seem to be from Middle East, as nearly 8 out of 10 persons I met in chat rooms were from this area. Its Chat Rooms are usually not crowded (at times nearly empty). Although this does not affect individual users, it does reveal that majority of Internet users are pitifully unaware of this excellent yet free program. The software has two problems though, as I found out through experimenting (from China) with another friend from Canada. While the other side could be contacted almost instantly by dialing the CQPhone number, the same person was inexplicably hard to reach at that same time through chat room. Secondly, I did not find any way to respond to the incoming calls while myself making outgoing calls. Hopefully this would be addressed in later versions. Technical support is excellent. My query mail was answered within two hours. Overall a very nice and useful utility.

Excellent one-to-one chat program
This thing has the best video interface around. full-stream style video. the typed chat interface is simple and easy to use, the voice chat works great, but the video.... the video is the bomb!!! you can go fullscreen if you want... it just plain rocks. definite two thumbs up on this one.

One bad thing to say about this:
Why oh why hasn't everyone in the world got this marvelous appliance set up and running on their computers? I downloaded it in Europe, my nephew downloaded it in the UK, less than two minutes later we are chatting away. I am on dial-up, and the first thing my nephew told me was that he couldn't believe that the voice quality was so good. Everyone do yourself a favour and get it NOW! Can I enthuse more about a product?

Excellent
Installation - the best! Self configuring -Video cam + sound card + your phone#; no questions ask,no spyware, no ad-aware; any one can install it. Very good sound and video. Works excellent on Win XP with outstanding graphic. Low memory use- if You compare to others. The best from all video messangers: Skype OK but new, Yahoo poor voice with video on, MSN (+-)not to happy about it. others so,so or bud. AOL-I do not know, Excellent feature: drug and drop any picture to the phone and in seconds picture is on your friend's desktop - then stored in:Programs>cqphone>pictures. Please advertise it! so,that the cqphone can grow in popularity! and be in business to provide us with the outstanding product and service. From more then 180 programs on my computer cqphone is the best.

Used it for months, never fails to impress.
I have tried pretty much all VOIP programs and have beta tested a few. CQPhone is now tops on my list. The webcam video refresh is almost real-time with less than a 1/2 second lag time. Audio is superb and have run for hours without any failure. Try it and you'll use it as your gold standard!

Compared to other messengers?
There is no compare to any other messengers. This is by For the BEST way to keep in touch with family and Friends. So Easy to setup even a 5 yr old can set it up without a problem. I have used all of them, MSN, Yahoo,AIM and all of them seem to mess up my computer as every time I install them I have to Re-format my HD. I have use CQPhone now for several Months with no problems at all....Well, maybe one...I keep forgetting to put it in Memory. It is the BEST by Far, get it, you won't be sorry and trash the others.... Flash32

Comparative video phone ratings...
The ease of setup and use is amazing and the voice quality is great bar none and I got back to the "old school" days of "NetPhone". I especially like the ring tones to get your attention if you are not looking at the monitor and the clean, simple interface... Great Program.. One of the best yet... Sidepipes...

A quality chat application gets better
Version 2.3 This App has excellent Audio (Voice)when talking and so far I havent noticed any voice breakup, Video ? well I think it could do with just a couple of frames faster by reducing video window size a fraction, a small sacrifice to make it better :) my wish list ? a standalone WhiteBoard to incorporate Picture file transfer & Viewing, a standalone text window ( resizable one) But still using the realtime txt writeup as it has now, an ignore list feature, a small Profile feature, this chat application has the makings of being one of the best .. This is one slick application!
In a hunt for the best application to use for video chat with family I came across CQPhone and all I can say is you've got to see it to believe it. Simple, easy to use interface. With the added features of full screen viewing and "drag and drop" photo sharing, this is a must have if you use webcams!

Cqphone is the best
This is a great, full-featured program; the best and easiest to use that I have tried. Voice is super-clear and the picture sharing feature is just icing on the cake. Makes you feel guilty using it for free - but I prevail :) Zaarenoc

The start of something wonderful
I have been using Chat and VoIP clients for years such as Iphone, Yahoo, AIM and Skype. CQPHONE has IMHO, emerged as an unqualified leader of the pack. It installs without any setup requirements, has a very intuitive user interface, and most important, works great. In addition, the author seems very responsive to user suggestions and feedback. The bugs are minimal, like text chat intermittently failing to initialize and picture transfers sometimes failing on the first attempt. Otherwise, voice and video (the main features) are solid. The only item I would like to see in a future release would be IP to IP connect-ability rather than sole dependency on CQ's number servers. On a scale of 10, CQPHONE gets a 9.5
