Only Rips. For the price, why not a Rip/Burner?

Awesome program, especially the CD Player, local freedb database support, and disc library. The latest changes add support for a bunch of new media file formats (APE, AC3, MP4, etc.) which can be handy if you've got your music in different formats. Playing everything from MP3 to AAC is really cool now that the spectrum analyzer and parametric equalizer work with all of these. Obviously I am a big fan of the program! Also, I totally agree with the previous review accept that the price has been lowered to $10 (US) new, $5 existing. It's nice that the developer keeps upgrading the software and actually returns your email when you ask questions - highly recommended!

My favorite feature of CDRunner is the simple, obvious, easy-to-use interface -- which looks just like your home stereo. Media players with fancy skins often obscure feature buttons -- everything here is placed where you'd expect it. If it's in freedb database, CDRunner displays the track title. Or build your own database entry for a custom disk. The author is extraordinarily responsive -- if you have a question -- he'll answer it. If there's a negative -- it's the update charge for existing owners. Having said that, the update charge ($7.50) and the registration cost (only $15) leave most of the other for-purchase media players in the dust.
