The best tool I`ve found.
..and that includes some proprietary ones on torrent sites. Being able to group sniped auctions together and cancel them when one wins is a Very Nice Feature. The interface is clean and intuitive and works marvelously well. Great Tool!

Security risk can be avoided
I primarily wanted a free sniper with bidding groups or contingent bidding. I choose not to install BuyersTools' IE extensions. BuyersTools prompts me that my IE security (medium) is too high and that I must accept cookies. I accept cookies from ebay.com, however, so the program is either wrong or trying to get me to accept all cookies. The program does place bids for me despite the warning and constant offers to lower my security, with claims it cannot bid without it. While waiting for a snipe, if you minimize it leaves a ghost-window in the lower right corner, permanently on top. Another case of a programmer doing something because they can, not for a valid reason - the user knows the program is running, that is what the task bar is for. But it's free, so you get what you pay for.

Inflexible
In order to directly connect with one's ordinary eBay auction browsing it seems to insist that I use a particular browser and if I reluctantly succumb to that it then wants me to change the security settings, in which case, for me, bye bye Buyertools Reminder, a waste of time at any price. Already spent far too much time on fishing spyware infections out of the system! Wasn't what I was looking for in any case. If you don't happen to want to work in the same way that the programmer expected you to, it is not designed to accommodate. While for me the calendar facility is superfluous, and would just get in the way, the facilities for actual eBay purposes are rudimentary, not at all sophisticated or extensive.

Very pleased
I just used Buyertools and its sniping feature to win an auction, and it was really awesome how well it worked. This program seems to do everything it says it will do. I especially like the automatic bidding "grouping feature" that allows you to safely do automatic bidding on the same item from multiple sellers, without having to worry about winning more than one of them. Awesome feature! The only problem seems to be a default setting that takes you to the German-language e-bay site, so you have to scroll down the listings to get to the English translation. That's definitely not a big enough problem to dampen my enthusiasm, and I trust the programmer will address it in future updates. If you shop e-bay, this program is a must-have!

Response by software author
Thanks for your feedback. We provided an update to fix the problem with linking to the German eBay site, so everything should run smooth now.

A great ebay buyer's tool
This is a very nice alternative to the paid sniper services that are offered on the Web. It gets the job done and is not difficult to use.
