Fantastic speed
Bit Torrent works well alone, but can be amazing when used with a front end (client) program such as Azureus. The first P2P to fully end stop my 1 meg b/band connection and retrieve a 1.25 gig file in under 8 hrs - by using 40 simultaneous connections. It's only drawbacks are from its success, torrent sites are short lived making the search for files more time consuming. If you are serious about your P2P and sharing files - Bit Torrent is a most welcome addition.

No-nonsense tool simplifies torrent downloads
When I first tried using torrents, I soon discovered that the basic install to make my PC torrent-capable did not provide any simplified means to set parameters for sharing my valuable bandwidth, such as how many other users can share my bandwidth and how much can they have. BitTorrent simplifies these settings. I recommend it highly.
