Remembering this is meant to be a basic player I gave it full marks. Any computer novice can use it and it even works well on an old Pentium 133MHz. Queuing of songs is great.

This is VERY nice audio player... I miss only one thing: it can't play WMA files! :( I don't understand that... But, if you (like myself) don't have many WMA's, Billy can be very useful for playing some audio, while you work something else! Download it and try!

Billy is a unique no frills audio player. That is what its developers wants it to be and I dare say it's fulfilling what it sets out to do. In evaluating Billy, I kept in mind Billy's primary purporse and I think it scores on all counts. Sure, there may not be as many features compared with WAMP or WMP, but for minimalists like myself, it's truly a blessing. You can control the player by memorizing a few simple shortcuts and it uses directory for sorting instead of the often cumbersome playlists. Since Billy does not attempt to read the often useless information in MP3Tags, startup is incredibly fast - takes me 0.5 to 1 second to load up 500+ songs on an Athlon XP 1800+.

Good basic player....it is not stand alone.....keyboard shortcut for stop function does not always work.
