Have tried a bunch of these free backup programs. This one I find to be the best because of its small size, layout, logical operation and ease of use. There were some issues I did have on the restore, however, I don't know if it was me or the program? That being said I still like this program.

Used this when I formatted my hard drive, because of its "Span Disks" feature. Worked like a charm! It is a little confusing knowing which ZIP File/CD is needed when restoring files. Otherwise, excellent freeware backup.

Looks promising, but to use more feautures you have to pay. The free version is poor.

Fair comment if you want a backup program which has all the bells and whistles use something else. I wrote Back4win with ease of use, functionality, and reliability as the main criteria. Incidentally, there are few backup programs that can backup more than 65535 files, and restore from a broken spanned set - Back4win does.
