One awesome browser
I probably should of done this a long time ago but I want to throw my 2 cents in also. I have tried Avant when it first came out and had it for awhile and I deleted it and took it out of the registry. I have tried many others browsers listed here including Maxthon which I had for awhile but I went back to Avant and stayed with it through out each build and update. I will never ever switch again. Download it and try it, you'll be glad you did.

Look no further for your browser!
I've been through them all. I won't even spend time listing them. I've ended up with Avant which is a great combination of the IE browser core and an excellent productive user interface. There are features here you just must have: Ad blocker, AutoFill (which really works!), and URL Aliases (speeds up your browsing considerably). Of course there's tabs which works much better than in IE7 and you can configure the UI to fit your browser needs perfectly. The browser is my most used program so it's essential that it works and does it's job. Avant does. There's no doubt in my mind this is the best there is right now. Yes, there are others with more fancy looks and even more features, but every line of code added to the browser usually results in pages loading slower. Not with Avant! Finally, the on-line bookmark feature in Avant is great. I can now easily reproduce my favorite browser with all it's bookmarks and settings across computers. Get Avant!

Still the best.
I've been using it years and although I tried some others with one or two better features such as built-in download managers, more plug-ins, etc, Avant is still the best. It is very fast, safe, easy to use with many features and IE compatible. It could be the perfect browser as it used to be if a couple of minor bugs (they were not there in older versions) could be fixed. It remains memory resident even after quitting (have to use task manager to end the process), CPU is used all the time (if you check cpu usage using windows task manager, you'll notice it) even without any web pages open.

Best yet
I have been using this browser for a couple years, and this latest release is the absolute best yet. I LOVE the online bookmarks syncing! Too bad it runs on IE or it could knock it off the map.

Good.... but version 11 may have problems
I have used Avant Browser for the last 18 months (love it.) But version 11 has problems. After installing my wireless connection kept dropping. Rebooting would sometime help, but after a few days I REMOVED the Avant Browser and I have not lost a connection in 2 days. Re-installed and the next day, the problem was back (removed it again.) It also could not handle a linked PDF file. I had to reload Acrobat Reader to get it to work. PDF's opened fine in IE7. I'll wait for version 12.

Much faster than Firefox and IE
Have tried this for a couple of weeks and found it to be very quick which is a pleasure. The problem is that certain plug-ins that I must have are not compatible with Avant.

Great browser
This is a great browser that has a serious bug that needs to be fixed by the author. The latest version which came out in May, will leave itself running as a process, and then when I shut down my computer or reboot, the exe which is still running then crashes. Other than this bug, it's a really great browser.

Best all round browser and rss reader
This is undoubtedly the best combined browser/rss reader available, and has far more options for customising the interface than any other browser. One advantage of Avant is that since it uses the internal architecture of Internet Explorer it does not suffer from the page compatibility problems that occasionally trip up Firefox and Opera. Avant's ability to open rss feeds automatically with a single click is something that rivals (including the new IE7 beta) should copy.

Good for a try
During the first few days, everything appeared to be fine. But in the days to follow, Avant Browser and IE were constantly competing to be the default browser. I like to have control over the programs that open on my machine, and when they open. Avant browser doesnt allow that control so I dont recommend using it for that reason. Otherwise it is a fine program that does what it says it does.

Avant Browser is a really outstanding...
Avant Browser is a really outstanding browser. Tabbed, RSS feeds, and a great F11 full screen mode (the entire interface disappears and the whole screen can be viewed. It is one of the most stable programs I own. The menu and options are truly intuitive;never need to look at the help menu!

Best browser period
Microsoft is "working" on developing the feature set that AVANT has mastered. Mozilla's latest Firefox release still doesn't touch it. For the very best of all the Browsers, do yourself a favor and make this one your default.

It's packed with extra features.
I've used this browser for quite a while now and it has a few extra features that you won't see in any other browser. It's fully configurable which is very useful. One thing that I would like to see implemented in future release is an ability to copy and paste weblink from within your favourites folders!!! just like you can do in Firefox and IE6.

This is an excellent browser, makes the navigation easier and faster, IE is in a place that does not deserve. The final users need to make the change.

Not for me
Reminds me of IE but just with tabbed browsing.. personally not too keen on the interface and buttons and toolbars at the top were too easily moved around and lost. I find Mozilla Firefox still seems more neat and professional than this browser.

Avant browser is best browser hands down
I have tried Opera, Firefox, MyIE2, Maxthon and others. I have been a longtime user of MyIE2 because of its tabbed functionality. However, the new version of Avant Browser is very impressive and I have now switched permanently to Avant. The tabbed functionality comparable to MyIE2, and even superior in some ways; for example, you can make your tabs as a floating window off to the side of your browser. Also, the 'similar websites' feature is very fun and novel. Another interesting feature involves leaked memory; Avant Browser is the only browser that deals with this problem completely. Finally, Avant Browser has the most style I've seen of any browser; it is a beautiful frontend that makes Firefox look hideous by comparison.

Discreet elegance
If you're not an anti-Internet Explorer aficionado, if you're searching for the best IE engined browser available, Avant Browser is the answer. Discreet (not bloated!), fast, powerful, it is a Ferrari, not a tank. Everything anyone needs is there, except the plugin the friend of the brother of my sister-in-law will wish once in a decade! AB has many features, those of speed and tranquility (pages render fast, smooth 'n' fast, the ad-blocker is a marvel), the default skins are sexy, others very tempting. I love this software, and I've tried practically everything a browser may be! Just try it. It does not intoxicate the registry, and is as easy to remove as to install. But I'd be surprised you remove it!

Simple, fast, pliable and stable
Avant Browser functions superbly on todays industry-standard computer specifications. Anyone having problems with Avant browser will most likely find that their PC doesn't meet an industry-standard, if there is a problem with the program the response from the creator is speedy and a newer release available usually in the same week. I'm an AOL user (sinful i suppose yes) and i prefer to use Avant browser and just use the AOL dialer the tabbed interface is wonderful and very helpful, the pop-up blocker blocks 90% of pop-ups, the speed in which pages load onto your screen is improved. Many people believe that their internet speed is to blame for webpages loading slowly, which in some circumstances is true but in many cases your computer has collected the information quicker than you think but presenting it to you is where some problems lie... with Avant this is not cured completely but on the average industry-standard computer it's pretty much sorted.

Erases email passwords
Nice looking and very fast but if one clears the autocomplete and other things it erases your outlook express email passwords and when I tried to re-enter all of them they would not work until I uninstalled avant and used a restore point-not too cool in my opinion!!

Very nicely done. lots of added power .
Has a direct simple feel to it. Nice icons. I was primarily after the tabbed interface. Easily configurable. Found a few options that I had to turn on or off to get it just like I wanted. (ie. changed the popup settings to not show the blocked URL and to a different sound, moved toolbars around a little, dragged tabs from bottom to top of screen, a couple of other little things). Lots of enhancements to IE if you want them. Otherwise not intrusive. Oh, and one REALLY NICE SURPRISE, favorites are the same as IE favorites. Change/add a favorite to one program and it is also in the other program! So, you can pop back and forth and still have the same favorites in each program. (Maybe all the browsers using the IE engine do this - I don't know). Seems rock solid so far under WinXP (2 days).

This is my preferred web browser, it beats the heck out of IE and has many ease of use features that micro S would never have thought up on their own. They used to update very often with new features, but lately have stopped, I hope they start updating again

Works but cpu and memory hog
This browser is nice enough, but there are several things that are a problem. First, the program is a memory hog (38MB)compared to IE (19MB) or Maxthon, my browser of choice (24MB). Also, the mouse gestures are not sensitive enough. Maxthon is much better at this. I really like the quick buttons to disable popups, flash and pictures. Want a more complete tabbed browser, use Maxthon. Avant also hogged more CPU resources than any other application I had on my system. I wasn't particularly fond of the browsing performance either. Certainly not at par with IE or Maxthon. That said, this is much better than Firefox.

Try again.
They claim it's the fastest. They lie. Tabbing to fields slows or stops it completely. Avoid the plugin that they offer for passwords, it's junk. They steal 404 pages to offer search results. On the other hand, the features are nice but available in other browsers as well. Tabbed browsing is good if there's a keyboard shortcut to go from window to window. I can't seem to find one after a week's worth of use. I didn't give it all 'poor' ratings because I'm honest. I've seen better, have better, and have faster. Try OffByOne sometime for a true safe browsing experience with a great deal of speed. The skins are nice but bland as well.

If you like this 1, you'll love crazy browser
I would say that this browser seems like a good one, only, I have been using Crazy Browser which can be FREELY downloaded from http://www.crazybrowser.com , and would not go back to any other browser (with the exception of the open source browser Mozilla for Linux). No offense, but it seems like Avant is a bad photo copy of Crazy Browser, with a few added complications and problems. For one, Crazy Browser has basically the same features that Avant Browser has, only a smaller file download, a much faster install and startup, and much more user-friendly interface (in my opinion that is). I say Crazy Browser all the way! I and many other people I know stand 100% behind Crazy Browser for our internet surfing. Its wonderful!

No google search
I installed Avant Browser and was suprised to find Yahoo search instead of the Google search as indicated in the screen shot. I shut down the browser and then opened it back up, and a lot of things were paled out. I immediately uninstalled it, as it was not working properly. Guess I will need to try another browser since this one was not at all what it should have been. Cannot rate it fairly because I only had it for 10 minutes and when I saw it did not have the Google search, I knew something was wrong, but could not find what and could do nothing at all with the browser. Just had to uninstall it. Why in the world did it have Yahoo Search instead of Google ? [Editor's Note: The search is set to Yahoo by default, but can be changed to Google from the Options dialog]

I was impressed
It's not about having tabs, it's not about the looks (which are good), it's the speed and features included in a mere 2Mb of installation. 90% of internet users use IE, which forces developers to use IE optimized sites. With AVANT, you have no display/style problems, like you will have using firefox, that for me is priceless.

Great browser
Avant Browser is really one of the best equipped of today's browsers. It's genuinely fast and ornamented with all the regular and handy features needed today to surf the net. The current version has gone one step further to include a few interesting and rare features like zoom, XML feeds, etc. The mouse gestures are really handy and it speeds up everything. Avant suits everyone. And with the less pressure it gives on the memory its a real treat. So, I would suggest everyone to just go ahead and try it. I am sure sure you would love it. !Great work, Avant , keep it up!

It's hard to find a browser that you like everything about, but this ones pretty good. It has a tendency to lock up on occasions and you will crash and have to start over. I've tried them all and this is the best right now until internet explorer gets its act together.
