Although some of this functionality can be found on the Tweak UI Powertoy for Windows XP, this little app is the best working with autoplay handlers. It has a very easy interface with enough eye candy. Low on system resources and fast.

Should be a default part of any windows operating system. but since it is not, i make sure it is a default tool on my tech discs. total elegance in form and function.

I have been trying to repair my iTunes automatic import for months without success. No matter how I manually set up the file associations it was no go. Less than 1 minute after opening AP Repair, all was peaceful on iTunesLand again. A MUST have - just in case you ever need it!

Autoplay was messed up for USB devices (two gibberish entries). TweakUI could not remove them, same for control panel file associations. Registry mods did not work. This program solved the issue immediately, though it requires dot-net be onboard. It did want to call home(?) however. (Notified and blocked by firewall). It gets the job done.

Nero had left some autoplay entries. I manually deleted them, but then I had weird results. Luckily I made backups of the keys and added those back. I used this tool to delete everything in the AutoPlay entries related to Nero. Worked like a charm!

I was able to remove the invalid entries in 5 clicks-been trying to remove 2 of these for 3 months now and even a repair of XP did not fix it-much thanks to the author as this is an essential program when software leaves these little nasties behind.....
