I use this program all the time! Once you install it, you can simply copy the contents from the folder it creates under "Program Files" to another system and use, if you like. Highly recommended!

So far in my testing it has displayed passwords for my google adsense account, email accounts in MS Outlook and a few others. It is already beating the tar out of the one I used to try once in a while when I needed this type of thing.

I only tested this application in Firefox (1.5.0.1) and it failed on my gmail login. If it doesn't support Firefox, it is of no use to me. I'm sure it is fine with other apps, as it is well rated; it just doesn't do the one thing I needed it to do.

I'm in the process of re-installing Windows, and there were a couple of passwords that I'd lost, but for which the sign-in boxes were still accessible, albeit with the passwords all *******'d out. All I did was install Asterisk Key, open up each sign-in/info box, one at a time, click "recover", and voila!! Each password was revealed plain as day. Whether or not it will serve other people's needs the way it did mine is another matter entirely. As always, your mileage may vary. But it saved me a lot of extra time and effort contacting the folks whose pw's I'd misplaced, and I'm very appreciative. I tried some other programs that were supposed to do the same thing but couldn't get them to work. This program worked like a charm. Thanks to the folks at Passware!

Moved a friend over from IE and Outlook Express to Mozilla, only one problem as this was a non IT person, they did not know their Outlook Express password as someone else had set it up for them before. This program does exactly what it claims and reveals the password, for me good but not good generally for security. Still ignoring the ethics here it is a simple program to use and under these conditions a real benefit.

I have just recovered a password for a user who put it into IE and forgot, it recovered the password without much effort...this is a wonderful software - easy install and uninstall, no problems at all. Try it ! I am a SysAdmin, so I know what I am talking about !
