Does what it says it does and it is very portable. Unfortunately, McAfee and Symantec have branded it "hacker tools" with their A/V software (Enterprise) and will delete it from your system. I like that you can set it up to allow you to right click on an IP addy and run your own application, such as VNC or RemoteDesktop.

Simple, straightforward and I use it on a daily basis. Windows XP default firewall settings are making it a little less useful, but then that's not the fault of this piece of software.

Originally I liked this program, until I compared to the other program, I found out this program does not do exactly what I want. The other ip scanner program could find exactly the mac address, while this one appeared to be able to. I turned out having the result N/A for my printers jet direct cards. So, I think this program is good for certain extent, but not in a full scale.

An excellent program and what's hilarious when I browsed snapfiles for Angry IP Scanners was that I sometimes experience network breakdown because someone in the LAN routes turned off the connection hub, which is a bit irritating. So I have to go upanddown the main offices to check which hub is off. But when I got Angry IP in my pc, I'm no longer 'angry' when network is down and I know who's hub is off and they are just a phone call away. Angry IP is a relief to angry people on LAN especially when connection is down while the server is well and functioning!

I find this program quite good for some tasks, like looking up host names for IP's in an IP range. It is very nice that it's just a small single executable, no install needed. But I miss the possibility to paste and scan many IP-addresses at once.

This is the easiest scanner to use I just wish I could find a Linux scanner that was as neat. I use it a lot for tracking down problems with Windows/ Linux SMB networks. It is good, it is fast and gives all he info you need everything from shares to Mac addresses. It is also very useful for computer browsing and identifying security loop holes.
