Good progam with unresolved bugs
Programs don't come easier to use than this one. If you want to quickly check a few web pages you've put together, host a site for friends to view, but don't have the time or patients to learn more mainstream server software, then this app was designed for you. Unfortunately, the software DOES NOT support Common Log format. It does not create a log file. This is a bug that has existed since the software was first released. It's last update was 2002. Since freeware doesn't pay the bills, I must assume the author has moved on to other things. It's a good little app, but probably should be considered abandonware.

What it says " simple "
If you are just starting out and want to run a web server from your PC to show off a website you built this is great, a little step before Apache, Abyss and so on.

Wonderful server
I have been using AnalogX's SimpleServer:WWW for over a year to host multiple websites, and I can easily say it rocks. It does have some limitations, for example if you are hosting 20gigs of website some urls may load slower, but if your only running 1-10 different websites it should work wonderfully for you. It is very easy to use and to configure. If you want to get an even funkier page check out analogX's shoutcast server, which can be linked with this one.. streaming audio(sweet).
