It's fairly a good freeware with lotsa features. Mainly I was attracted to this because of the syncronised view. however, however, it failed to display images as i coded. The same images were displayed without a problem if i wanted to see the page on my default browser(opera). this is a big letdown as i need to see what i am doing within the display. Also another html editor did this without a problem - ACEHTML Freeware- beats this in all aspects. For now the search has to continue

This is an "EXCELLENT PROGRAM" I have taken and tried a few other html editors out in the past but this one for the most part is the "BEST" as far as the features and the price is right to for such an excellent program.......FREE......you can't beat that for the stuff you can do with this program. Highly Recommended !!!! You want an awesome html editor then this is the one for you.

Sal-OM, I was searching for a wysiwyg editor that can import html without messing up the code. This is it. Very easy to use and very logical. Yes it does create preview htmls but you don't have to go back and delete them, Alleycode deletes them when you exit the program. Very nice features!

I guess I'd be called an advanced beginner as far as coding goes, and I found Alleycode to be a nice, easy to use tool. The built in code libraries and interface are so much better than any of the other free editors I've tried, not to mention all of the other great features. I also like that I can access my ftp program from within Alleycode. And all for free! Definitely worth a try!

This is an excellent html editor...and best of all, it's FREE! One thing i didn't like though, it keeps creating an alleycode preview version of every html page you chose to preview...its annoying when you have to go back and delete it. Other then that, this is among the best html editor i have seen in the freeware section! try it and you'll see why!

Alleycode has a set of tabbed wizards, so you have most common-to-most-formats tags, etc. ready to insert, or those specific to tables, or to CSS, or to PHP. It's all set up to show you your pages in Internet Explorer, Netscape, and Opera. Alleycode's interface really is intuitive, and it very quickly becomes familiar. I'd been using TextPad for my web pages, and I still use it for .txt, but I wanted an editor that would automate a bit more of the HTML-specific tasks; then I used CuteHTML happily until its lack of updatedness began to bother me; and then I found Alleycode. It doesn't re-position elements like alt text so I can no longer recognize image links, it doesn't crash my computer, it's free, and it even has tutorials. I wish I'd found it sooner.
