It's free: expect some flaws as okay
Print engine has been flawed for some time. They know this. Hide certain columns from view and try to print in WinXP and it will crash. The version for Win2K doesn't crash. In both XP and 2K, however, if you choose a range of pages to print, AceMoney ignores the choice and prints all. Several months of transactions can be many pages. You must manually halt unwanted page prints in the Windows spooler or your printer software. AceMoney does a good job of exporting to a standard comma delimited file (CSV) for importation into a spreadsheet program. That's what I do: Import AceMoney's exported CSV to Excel and print the range I want. Presently, that is the recommended method from AceMoney's user forum. It does a good job of importing the standards: Microsoft's Open Financial Exchange (OFX) and Quicken's format (QFX) files. All data is saved in a *.mnw file that you can store in an encrypted virtual drive.

You get what you pay for...and then some
I have been using this for several years. The interface is easy to understand, the program is simple to setup, and my wife (technology challenged) is able to use it with next to no training. I wish that it was easier to interact with spreadsheets, but, you get what you pay for. Right?

Used for years and never a problem
I have been using this program for years without a single problem for my home budget and financial needs. The program is easy to use w/o an overcomplicated interface, plus it provides useful features and reports that let you know where you money is going. The program allows you to split transactions, drag and drop Paypal invoices, schedule bill payments, etc. You can also get stock updates online which is a pretty nice feature. The only thing that would make it perfect is the ability to print checks, but, it is not lacking for it.

Good but misleading...
Although this is a fantastic program, the description is misleading in the since that it ONLY permits ONE user account not "accounts". When you try to add another account it pops up a window giving you the above detail and refers you to purchase the full version.

Almost complete expense tool
I was looking for a expense management software. Acemoney is missing a couple of features like the ability to apply a rate to a transaction. Also it would be nice to be able to add expense accounts by default. May be on the next version. The full version is really inexpensive

Well worth it !!
I have to say I was skeptical in using AceMoney at first b/c I didn't know what to expect. But come to my surprise I have come to really enjoy using it b/c of the simplicity and ease of use. Everything in the software is well designed and planned out for the user. There isn't anything to complain about. If you are looking for a personal finance software program which is needed to register your transactions and pull a few simple reports then this is the software for you. You will find it a lot easier to use than Quicken and Money which have become to cumbersome with all the extras...

Does it all without being confusing!
Because I only maintain a regular checking account for my partner and myself, I used to use a simple text file to record expenses and make projections for the next month... mainly because the commercial applications are pretty intimidating. AceMoney Lite is extremely easy to use. Add your account, enter re-occuring expenses and deposits in the schedule, and log additional expenses when they occur. The greatest feature to me is that by entering re-occuring expenses and deposits you can see what your account will look like in the future (a week, a month, two months, etc. from now), and therefore know how much you will have left for extra spending. I also love the option of being able to categorize any item (Bills: Electricity, Automobile: Car Payment, etc.). I couldn't think of anything this program is lacking, it does exactly what I wanted it to do. Highly recommended!

Great alternative to MS Money or Quicken
I got tired of all the junk MS money and quicken started adding to the software. And the constant having to spend more money each year If I wanted the latest version. I purchased the full version, and its great! You pay once and get lifetime updates and free tech support. Questions are responded to quickly and effectively. Its the best out there IMO.

AceMoney
I searched years for a simple accounting program-this is IT-went straight to the full version-just $20-worth every cent-the author sincerely wants it to be everything needed-I needed a larger font and the option was added almost immediately-try it, you ll love it!
