WOT for Internet Explorer
website reputation ratings
WOT for Internet Explorer is a browser add-on that can warn you of potential security or privacy issues related to the website you are visiting, as well as sites that are returned in search engine results (Google, Yahoo, AOL, MSN and others). It adds a button to your browser toolbar and next to search engine results that indicates the assessed security level for the site, based on trustworthiness, vendor reliability, privacy and child safety. The security level is based on ratings from other WOT users as well as a database of harmful sites, maintained by WOT. Unfortunately the program does not provide any reasons or explanation for the security rating it provides, so you have to take their word for it without any facts to back up the claim.
