Winmail Opener is a small and simple utility that allows you to view and extract the content of TNEF-encoded files. These files usually come in the form of winmail.dat attachments, which contain messages that were usually sent via Outlook, using RTF formatting. If your email program cannot read these formatting instructions, it will convert the message into an attachment - the winmail.dat file. Winmail Opener can decode and display the RTF message text along with embedded attachments. Other features include drag-and-drop support and a command line mode for batch decoding.
