WinBackup Standard is an automatic backup and recovery software that enables you to create multiple backup sets to protect your valuable data. It provides an easy-to-use interface that lets you select the files to be included, and also includes shortcuts to many popular file locations like Internet Explorer settings, Outlook/Outlook Express email folders, address book, settings, and more. The backups can be scheduled to run automatically with the built-in scheduler. WinBackup Standard works with local backups, as well as removable drives and burning to CD/DVD media. Additional features include password protection, restore wizard and more. What we didn`t like is the fact that backups can only be created in a proprietary .w2b format, which can only be restored and used by the WinBackup software - therefore any CD/DVD backups are useless, unless you have the WinBackup software to restore them.
