weather monitor WeatherMate provides you with quick access to weather information in one or more selected cities. It supports locations in the US as well as international cities all around the globe. The program is particularly handy if you need to keep an eye on multiple cities, as it arranges the data into individual tabs, allowing you to quickly switch between different cities. You can select to view a compact or detailed forecast and optionally display a radar image of the region as well. WeatherMate can also speak the current conditions aloud, display the current temperature in the system tray and optionally lock itself onto the desktop.

It's small and unobtrusive, can be hidden to the system tray, and even contained my little town in it's city list. Uses about 20mb of memory when running. That's about average with others that I've used. The one thing I don't like is that there is no option to make the radar image larger, or change it to another type of image for my area. showShow review details
