All you need is a Windows 7/8 (Windows Server 2008 R2) computer with a wireless network adapter and the program will do the rest. Virtual Router takes advantage of Windows's Wireless Hosted Network (Virtual Wifi) technology which allows you to share your network connection without complicated configurations, just set the password to secure the connection and start the Virtual Router. Although installing it's pretty straightforward, it lacks documentation/help to know what is good and what isn't. Not all wifi cards are supported (in fact, only a few are), only those that, in Windows 7 or 2008 R2 can be configured as "Access Point". If your wifi card can only be configured for connecting to an existing WiFi or as "Ad hoc", then you are not going to obtain nothing more than errors. showShow review details

This is a product I stumbled upon coincidentally. I installed it on my brand new Acer with Windows 7 and it worked like a charm. The UI is too simple to understand. After a few clicks, it was ready to use. I connected to the router from my cell-phone while my wife was actually surfing from my Laptop. It was an awesome experience.
