secure instant messenger The TrilogyEC Professional Edition is a secure Instant Messenger that uses 256 bit AES encryption to protect your chat conversations and file transfers. It works on a peer-to-peer basic, and connects directly to the IP address of your buddy, with no intermediate network to route through. You can collaborate with up to 5 people simultaneously. The messenger offers a built-in address book and buddy list, password protection, and 2 security levels to choose from. The program is not designed to `meet new friends`, but for secure and direct communication between two IP addresses - all parties must have TrilogyEC installed. TrilogyEC does not require any registration or sign up.

Our work place (and others I know of) sacked people based on unencrypted LAN chat services. This was easy to install and setup. I now talk in total privacy. Of course you need administrator rights (or similar) to be allow to install it in the first place. If you machine is "locked down" by your workplace policies then your stuck. showShow review details

I have used other small chat software for my home LAN, while OK, they weren't anywhere near Trilogy. Encryption of chat, file transfer, etc... it's simply awesome, I don't know how else to put it. My son and I chat on it, it's easy to set up, looks great, nothing bad to say about it except that when you lock it, I wish it would minimize to system tray, not stay on the desktop. But truly, I`m not complaining, it's great and exceeds the FREE type personal chats out there 10 to 1. showShow review details
