Bit Torrent download client Tixati is an easy to use Torrent client that distinguishes itself from the competition with a no-nonsense interface, easily accessible options and several advanced features not commonly found. The program can set itself as the default handler for .torrent and magnet links and automatically take over whenever you download a torrent file. Tixati offers detailed bandwidth statistics and options to restrict incoming and outgoing bandwidth for all transfers or only selected files. Your current bandwidth usage is displayed in real-time graphs and allows for quick switching between bandwidth profiles. Other features include detailed peer and swarm information, peer connection encryption, local file management features, scheduled downloads, customizable event logging and more. Tixati also emphasizes the fact that they don't install or offer upgrades, toolbars or any other gimmicks that seem to be common among torrent clients.

No real problems here, but the default interface called "dark background" is like an accident in a paint shop. In particular, the blue on black of the progress bar is hard to read. The color scheme can be changed in the settings, and this is one of the first things that I did after installing the program. showShow review details
