organize your Programs menu Tidy Start Menu allows you to easily organize the programs in your Start/Programs menu, by sorting them into several categories, which will be created as folders in your Programs menu. Instead of having dozens of application folders and entries, you can reduce the initial level to 5-8 categorized folders and then directly navigate to the programs within that category. Of course this could also be easily accomplished by using standard Windows features like creating folders and dragging items into them... Tidy Start Menu makes the task a little easier for novice users by using simple check boxes to assign programs to a category. The free version is limited to 8 pre-defined categories, which should accommodate the average user - if you want to create more categories, you will have to purchase an advanced version. (In this case however we would really recommend to invest a few minutes of your time and organize the Programs menu yourself)

I have looked forward to using this program and was VERY disappointed when I tried to organize the menus. Everything I tried such as create and place Utilities into a Utilities folder was "No-op'ed". The application "developer" has his face appear with "I'm SORRY..." I will be finding another app prior to being nagged into paying for this one. It is free to install, but not freeware to use. This nice little program very quickly organizes your start menu. Mine was practically random, and after only a few moments with the program, I have everything separated out in to a few categories. Another reviewer has compared this to "Startup Delayer" which is confusing because they both do different things. One is a start-up optimizer. Another a start menu organizer. It does what it says, so if you want to organize your start menu, give this a try. showShow review details

Liked the ease of use this program has but it wouldnt let me back up my original start menu kept coming up with an error to be fair they responded to an email i sent but it was tooooo late im stuck with a tidy start menu whether i like it or not. NOT FOR ME. showShow review details
