investment portfolio manager TakeStock is an investment portfolio manager that enables you to track the value of your stock portfolio. You can track US and international stocks as well as mutual funds, and use the built-in symbol lookup to quickly find and add your stocks to the portfolio. The program can calculate gains and losses, display view and compare stock charts, and retrieve company information and related news items from online sources.TakeStock offers a nice set of features, however it lacks automatic update functionality as well as alert features.

I tried many freebies but this one is the best of the lot; period! However, please be aware that some of the information it pulls from the Yahoo database may not be up to date. Specifically, sometimes the "dividend per share" is inaccurate on selected stocks. Otherwise, I use it every day and it gives me a clear picture of how my investments are doing! showShow review details

Been using this application since day one. No install needed,virtually no system resource usage and rock solid stability. A very well written program even from its first version. Logically laid out and extremely easy to use. Every feature a person could need on a application such as this is incorporated. As a bonus since no install needed data can be easily transfered to multiple pc's or on a usb flash player. showShow review details
