If there's one thing I need is a good software cataloging tool. I do feel businesses or admins may get a lot out of this than a standard user of course. I have the full free version 4 but it's always been a bit buggy. The nice thing is the ability to fill in every bit of information on my software, links, folder and file location, where it's installed, etc... I found If I rate the software, in the main page I have to rate it again or it doesn't show. Applying screenshots is nice as well. I admit I have yet to figure out if I can add a custom category to the software list, I'll be checking into that. And to mention, I believe WebAttack.com became Snapfiles.com in very early 2004. I was downloading from WebAttack in 2003, But yes, Softcat is a highly configurable software to catalog, export, you name it. Show review details

I have been using SoftCat sine, hold on let be check SoftCat! Wow I have install dates of software, Gravity, back in late 1998. I sure miss Gravity. It cost me 15 and was installed on my computer, at the time, called Robert. The password was GV2060822 and was purchased from MicroPlanet which is now an energy of sort website. The version number was 2.5. I can go on and on but what's the point. I think it's already been made. Most likely I might have seen the review on this site. Actually before it was Webattack I believe it was something else, Sysop can you help me with info? I buy most software based on reviews from this very site. I weed through the info and make a decision. So I think all reviews have a responsibly to people looking for software. This product should have a 4.5 out of 5. It is every thing it should be. Hence the name SoftCat Plus. And it does live up to it's name. Show review details

As of this version, it will auto scan your drive in the trial version. It imports anything the files have embedded in them. Personally it would take me forever to enter everything, even with the auto scan feature, I have a lot of software :-) Even so, this product is great, it can auto backup your DB, use screen shots, and hundreds of other options that any software freak would love. I will most likely buy this one, probably so I can export to an html file and show off to my friends :-) Show review details
