SIGuardian monitors hard-drive health to prevent data loss caused by failures and malfunctions. It uses S.M.A.R.T. to predict the final date of HDD lifetime, so that you can make backup copies of all your data before it s too late. S.M.A.R.T. technology is supported by IBM, Maxtor, Seagate, Hitachi and most other modern hard drives. The program allows you to monitor multiple drives and lets you select the attributes to monitor. It can optionally check the drive(s) at startup and then exit, or run continuously as a service, displaying a tray icon that indicates the current drive condition. Additional features include email and network reporting.
