administer tasks on remote machines Remote Task Manager (RTM) is a systems control interface that extends the functionality of the standard Task Manager. It can be run from any remote Windows NT/2000/XP computer and enables a Systems Administrator to control most aspects of a remote environment. The tabbed interface is similar to the standard Task Manager and separates applications, services, devices, processes, events, shared resources and performance monitoring. Functionalities include options to start/stop services or devices, add new services or devices, manage the run level and adjust the security (permissions, auditing and owner) settings. The Process Function and the Task Manager allows remote termination and adjusting of priority levels. In addition, an Event Viewer lets the administrator view Eventlog entries on the host computer. Remote Task Manager supports remote installations, enabling the administrator to set up a service on remote machines without the need for physical access. Additional features include lock/shutdown/reboot, create processes, view NetStat statistics and more.
Trial Limitations: 30 day trial. Some features disabled.
