Only easy accessible ftp with xcrc, but slow 3 stars by beat2224 Sep 08, 2012
I was searching for a ftp server which supports XCRC, so I was testing Quick n Easy FTP Server (light and professional). Using it on a Win 2008 VPS with 2GB RAM it tuned out however, that it takes this ftp server about 4 times longer than the Standard FTP Server comming with the Windows 2008 (IIS). I downloaded a 256MB Web Site with large media and it took about 20 minutes (XCRC was not used for the test. With the MS FTP server (IIS) it took 5 Minutes. Unfortunatley, the IIS does not support XCRC, but the speed difference is very high. showShow review details

Though it may not provide "industrial strength anti hacking what ever its called", this little thing *Works!* Im using it in a local LAN to transfer files between Mac/PC. The computers are all locked up, I've got no admin rights - But this FTP server still runs happily! Problem solved! The whole process of setting it up took literally 30 second. that includes downloading, unpacking it to my USB key, creating a desktop shortcut and creating an account. oh dear. Im so happy now..
