mount CD/DVD images in a virtual drive Phantom CD enables you to mount a CD or DVD image and access it from a virtual drive, without the need to insert the physical media. If you have plenty of hard drive space to store your disk images, this method can be more convenient and offer faster performance than running the actual CD or DVD. Phantom CD supports ISO and BIN/CUE image formats that can be created with any disk imaging software. You can load disk images from the main interface or, more conveniently, by simply right-clicking on the virtual drive icon that is added to Windows Explorer. Copyright Snapfiles.com

Great for netbooks 5 stars by ChrisFinch Mar 28, 2010
This virtual drive has a small foot print. Most netbooks don't have a cd or dvd drive onboard; therefore, they don't require ripping or burning components, making Phantom CD a perfect solution. showShow review details
True freeware and no problems 5 stars by JuanPabloMagno1 Aug 20, 2009
I don't understand how there can be much qualitative difference between bin files or iso files created by different software. They are either images or they aren't. Phantom CD works fine for me. Maybe I've overlooked something about the major competitor, but if the virtual freeware drive can read only the proprietary images created by purchasing additional software from the developers, I'll stick with Phantom. Phantom truly plays bin files as though they were CDs. For the price, I don't see how I could do any better. showShow review details
I didn't care for it 3 stars by gimpguy Sep 24, 2008 (Read all my 1072 reviews)
For whatever reason, it won't work too well for me. More like a Phantom app. I did finally manage to get it to read the image I had but only after numerous tries. I gave it a chance but it's too buggy for me. I'll stick with others instead. showShow review details
