Mail Alert is a notification add-in for Microsoft Outlook, that displays a message from the system tray whenever new mail arrives. It shows the subject, the sender and the first couple lines of the message text, and allows you to reply, mark or delete a message with a few clicks. You can configure the notification behavior and also limit alerts to a specified folder - the program can work hand-in-hand with existing Outlook rules and delay alert processing until rules have been processed by Outlook. Additional features include customizable notification dialogs, transparency and more. In order to work properly, Mail Alert requires that you have Outlook set up to download your email automatically. Mail Alert supports Outlook 2000/XP/2003/2007.
