create indexes of your disks LS MyLib enables you to create indexes of your disks (CD, DVD, hard disks etc.) that allow you to locate files without having to insert the physical media disk. It offers advanced search options that let you search by part of the name, date, file type, size and more. The program can process ID3 tags and automatically use them as description for MP3 files, and you can also add your personal comments to any file. Additional features include an option to keep track of borrowed disks, customizable interface, HTML export and more.

Allows comments disks, files and folders. Exports good HTML package. Does not require installation, can be run from the USB Flash. Missing things: 1. How to search from the HTML package, because all files are separated. Use Yahoo Desktop search, OK, but would be nice to have option for large flat file too. 2. CSV or other export would be nice. 3. Very helpful and straight forward software 5 stars by Chasing
With large collection of CDs and tight hard disk space, I have tried several of the free disks indexing programs but this was the best. Very fast, straight forward and intelligent that you wouldn't even need a little while to learn its ways. If only the local folders indexing could be updated, even manually, instead of having to remove it and make a new one when you are sure there's been changes in there. But then it might have turned more complicated and multi-tasked. Anyway, I just love it. And it saved me a lot of trouble and fumbling around with CDs looking for this song or that file. showShow review details
