miniTrezor

create password protected containers

Our Rating: 2.5 stars (Fair)

miniTrezor enables you to create password protected containers that you can use to store your sensitive files, using 256-bit AES encryption. You can create the container anywhere on your hard drive (or a USB drive), and also choose to have the program create up to 2 copies that can be stored in other locations for backup reasons. To add files to a container, you can simply drag and drop them into the interface and further organize them by creating virtual folders within the container. If you want to access your files, you must start miniTrezor and enter the correct password. The files however can only be accessed from within miniTrezor, they cannot be opened from Windows Explorer.

Pros: Uses 256-bit AES encryption

Cons: Adding and opening files is very slow and resource intensive; containers can be deleted; files can only be accessed through software GUI
