Minimem enables you to reduce the memory footprint of resource intensive applications or programs with memory leaks (Minimem was originally designed to address memory issues with Firefox v2). You can select the processes to be optimized and the program will check them automatically every X seconds and remove as many non-necessary memory pages as possible to reduce memory consumption without interfering with your work. The user also has the ability to avoid minimizing the memory of the foreground process as well as the possibility to simply suspend the optimization when the overall RAM usage of the computer is low.
