RAM reliability tester MemTest is a RAM reliability tester. It evaluates the ability of your computer s memory to store and retrieve data. A correctly functioning computer should be able to do both these tasks with 100% accuracy day in and day out. A computer that fails these tests, perhaps because of old hardware, damaged hardware, or poorly configured hardware, will be less stable and crash more often. By running MemTest, you can ensure that your computer s RAM is correctly functioning. Unlike other memory checking software, MemTest is designed to find all types of memory errors including intermittent problems. Therefore, it needs to be run for several hours to truly evaluate your RAM. MemTest works with any type of memory.

This is an executable file that runs within Windows, so it can check only the RAM that is free at the time. This is clearly less than ideal, and there are bootable versions that will test all of the memory outside the Windows environment. This program is useful, but a full RAM test requires a bootable medium. showShow review details

This little tester saved me a ton of time trying to find out why I was receiving a lot of BSOD's. It is simple, easy to use and I would highly recommend it to anyone who is having a lot of error reports and BSOD's. It does the job. showShow review details
