spam detection and deletion MailWasher Free is a spam detection and mail preview tool that allows you to check the mail on the server and delete any spam before you download it to your local computer. It can notify you when new mail arrives and automatically mark suspicious messages, so you can preview and delete them. There are 3 levels of spam detection and you can specify your own filters. MailWasher also offers the option to exclude your friends from spam checking and check mail against public blacklists (SpamCop). In order to achieve better spam filtering results, the program requires you to create your own spam filters, without them, the spam detection is rather poor. If you are up for this task and prefer to use your own filters, give MailWasher a try. The free version is limited to one POP3 email account and displays a nag banner.

FYI: This program displays advertisements inside the interface.

It is pretty good for a free version except for the nag screen and one email account. I have used the pro version for several years and loved it until they stopped the free lifetime upgrades last month. I will have to look elsewhere for a spam filter that keeps it promise of free lifetime upgrades. showShow review details

The best program that I've come across for sieving through e-mails. The program is small,easy on system resources,fairly stable and easy to use once setup is completed. I find the best part of this program (that other free ones don't have) is its ability to bounce messages back to the sender or domain. showShow review details

I use MailWasher Pro for sometime - app.2.5 years - and it's getting better. Spam it's really filtered and deleted automatically from the server, as per user "learn" mode to the program.It's fast and only lacks the ability to view legitimate mail in html form from the source.Nevertheless, a very simple and efficient spam eliminator showShow review details
