Keep-Alive 2 is a network monitor that enables you to check the availability of HTTP/FTP/SMTP servers, MS SQL and MySQL databases, Windows services, as well as other network devices. If a device goes down, you can be notified via email, SMS message, command line execution or Windows EventLog entry. Keep-Alive 2 supports unlimited services to be monitored.
Pros: Supports an unlimited number of devices; supports database connections; inexpensive
Cons: No long-term statistics or graphs; database checks do not support queries
