copy files from your iPod to your PC iPod Rescue enables you to access the songs stored on your iPod and copy them to your hard drive. You can select the songs to copy, choose a renaming scheme or us the original iPod file names and also edit the artist and title information for each song. iPod Rescue is primarily designed to recover music from your iPod in case you lose your iTunes library due to a system crash or disk failure, but it can also be used to simply copy songs to a PC that does not have iTunes installed. The program also includes a playback function which allows you to listen to your iPod music on your computer without the need to have iTunes installed. We tested iPod Rescue successfully with 3rd and 5th generation iPod Nanos but the software did not recognize the iPod Touch.
